VPM receives honor from Richmond Economic Development Authority

May 16, 2025

On Apr. 16, VPM was recognized as one of the 2024 Outstanding Economic Development Partners at the City of Richmond and the Richmond Economic Development Authority’s third annual ‘Celebration of Business.’ The honor celebrates VPM’s impact and dedication to Richmond’s ongoing growth and success as VPM continues to look forward to its future home in Downtown Richmond.

“We are grateful to be recognized by the City of Richmond and the Richmond Economic Development Authority,” said VPM President & CEO, Jayme Swain. “We believe in the future of downtown Richmond and are excited to be moving to Broad Street, where our new headquarters will be a vibrant public square for everyone in our surrounding communities.”

As VPM embarks on the project of building its future headquarters on Broad St. in Downtown Richmond, it’s been important to be mindful of the many factors that come with a major construction project in a metropolitan area. VPM’s decision to move downtown was driven by the desire to have a more central location for community members and invest in the future of the City of Richmond, among others.

The Richmond Economic Development Authority works to build a vibrant and equitable economy in Richmond by encouraging business investment, job creation, strategic development, long-term growth, and community well-being.

Other honorees that received awards were Haleon, The Metropolitan Business League and John S. Molster.
